2020 Molalla River (Three Bears Section)

A classic Cascade River drainage that runs through second growth forested canyons, moss covered basalt gorges with cascading waterfalls.
Given the technical character of the Upper Molalla River, this section of river is best run in rafts and cat-boats between flows of 1,800 - 4,000cfs. The date is flexible depending on flows. Maximum of 10 boats, with boaters having at least Class III+ to IV experience.
Noted rapids included in this run are Papa Bear, Mama Bear, Baby Bear and Porridge Pot.
Launch Site: Upstream of Turner Bridge on right side pull-off ~ Take Out Site: 2 miles downstream of North Fork Molalla confluence and Glen Avon Bridge at a fishing access pull-off.
Meet at the Molalla Safeway parking lot at the corner of Hwy 213 and Hwy 211 @ 10:00am. There will be three quick scouts on the way to the put-in to check for wood hazards or other obstructions.
