River: Upper Clackamas River (River Rat Sunday)
Meeting Location: Clackamas River Outfitters in Estacada at 10 a.m.
Date & Time: Sunday, December 15th, 2024 - (10 a.m. - 4 p.m.)
Rating: Class III+ (IV)
Length: 7 to 12 Miles (Depending on launch and take-out sites)

Trip Information: This River Rat Sunday float is a whitewater community event. It's not an official OWA club trip because this event is open to all boaters (members and nonmembers) with the necessary class 3 and 4 required skill set. Meeting at Clackamas River Outfitters, 194 SE 4th Ave in Estacada, Oregon at around 10 a.m.. CRO will have hot coffee and donuts for those showing up. Also, boats will be loaded up on those vehicles and trailers that are headed up hwy 224 to the launch site. The other vehicles will be dropped off at the take out. If river flows are too low for the upper portion of the river, then the trip leader will opt to launch at Hole-in-the-Wall boat launch. Take out will be at either Moore Creek or Memoloose. Powerhouse (III), The Narrows (III), Roaring River (III), Hole in the Wall (III+), Carter Falls (IV) and Toilet Bowl (III+) are some of the rapids you will encounter when boating the Upper Clackamas River.
