2023 OWA Wilderness First Aid
2023 OWA Wilderness First Aid

The Wilderness First Aid training that was held back in late September of this year at McIver State Park went well. The new location at Kingfisher Group Camp worked out suitable for this training. A large, remote and wooded area for gathering and scenario training. With plenty of space for participants who were tent camping. We didn't have the same amount of participation this go around as in previous years, but for those that attended the Wilderness First Aid training, the instruction provided and mock scenarios during the two day's presented by Travis Reed of Oregon Rescue and his knowledgeable instructors was top notch.
The weather was pleasant on Thursday and Friday. Partly cloudy on Saturday and some spotty shower's on Sunday. All in all... Everything went great. Hopefully, we'll be able to reserve this same group camp, roughly the same time in September for next year's "2024" Wilderness First Aid Training.
