Good day all!

I’m excited to be the incoming, new president for OWA! Thanks to Brenda for stepping in as interim president for the last year, and the continued help from our Board members and past presidents!!

For those who don’t know me, I took my first whitewater rafting trip in 1978 (on the now drowned Stanislaus River, a sad loss), I’ve lived and rafted in Oregon since 1980, and I joined OWA around 2008.

I share our group’s commitment to support all our members no matter what level of rafting/kayaking experience you have.  And I truly hope you take advantage of all OWA has to offer! When I first experienced OWA’s Pool Session, River Safety Training, and Wilderness First Aid courses, I was amazed and how much I didn’t know and wished I had known this valuable information far earlier in my rafting career!! 

I’ve always been one who wants to get involved, be a part of, and contribute back to the activities I love.  I’m open to comments, suggestions, or feedback on how you feel things could improve or be done better.  Please feel free to reach out and chat or email me!!
