Ingredients

Use this base blend to make blackening seasoning, then adjust to your own preferences after you’ve used it a few times:

  • salmon tacos 1.JPG2 tablespoon smoked paprika (or use regular paprika)
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne powder (use more for a spicier blend)

  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano

  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme

  • 1 tablespoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

  • ½ teaspoon dried basil

Additional IngredientsSalmon Tacos 2.JPG

  • Salmon - Best if on a fishing/rafting trip like Nate and crew to use freshly caught fish!
  • oil
  • slaw
  • tortillas
  • toppings of your choosing

Directions

  1. Cut Salmon in 2” squares and rub as much seasoning as you like. It's spicy!

  1. Heat up a small amount oil in a pan and fry them up to desired crisp.

  1. Make your slaw however you like. We were on the river so we used: pre-made slaw in a bag and added ½ cup mayo and a good amount of La Costena diced chipotle peppers.

  1. Throw all that in a tortilla and enjoy!
