Blackened Salmon Tacos
Submitted by Nate Soukesian
Ingredients
Use this base blend to make blackening seasoning, then adjust to your own preferences after you’ve used it a few times:
- 2 tablespoon smoked paprika (or use regular paprika)
-
1 tablespoon cayenne powder (use more for a spicier blend)
-
½ teaspoon dried oregano
-
½ teaspoon dried thyme
-
1 tablespoon onion powder
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder
-
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
-
1 teaspoon sea salt
-
½ teaspoon dried basil
Additional Ingredients
- Salmon - Best if on a fishing/rafting trip like Nate and crew to use freshly caught fish!
- oil
- slaw
- tortillas
- toppings of your choosing
Directions
-
Cut Salmon in 2” squares and rub as much seasoning as you like. It's spicy!
-
Heat up a small amount oil in a pan and fry them up to desired crisp.
-
Make your slaw however you like. We were on the river so we used: pre-made slaw in a bag and added ½ cup mayo and a good amount of La Costena diced chipotle peppers.
-
Throw all that in a tortilla and enjoy!
