Today we rallied up at Corn Creek. After traveling from Boise Idaho. Almost a seven hour drive but everyone arrived healthy and safe. We met up with our guides from Makay River Adventures. Outfitted our boats, set up camp and enjoyed our surroundings and company of friends.
The first night, most people wanted to sleep on cots, under the stars. About thirty minutes after people were settling in for the night, lightning and thunder started. Causing people to set up tents in the dark. Within minutes of moving into tents, the down pour started.

Today we covered 19 miles. We covered about 5 miles and landed at Buckskin Bills. This is an amazing spot. There’s a museum that explains a lot of local history. We then navigated a pretty big rapid that had a big hole at the top and bottom of the drop. We then entered the flatter water area of the stretch and ended the day at rabbit camp.

On our final day on the Salmon River, we left California Creek Camp. Planning to float approximately 11 miles. Looking forward to navigating Chittam Rapid, which promises some curves and eddies. These can make this rapid fun. There was fun to be had at Vinegar Rapid. This one was a very fun drop, that offered a fast drop. Our trip ended at Carey Creek boat ramp
