Important Update: Membership Dues Adjustment for 2026
Membership Dues Adjustment for 2026
Submitted by OWA Board
Dear Members,
As a club, we’ve always worked hard to keep our membership dues as low as possible while still providing the resources, safety, and community that make our whitewater adventures so memorable. Over the past several years, however, operating costs have steadily increased.
To ensure we can continue offering high-quality trips, training, and refreshments during meetings, the Board has voted to implement a modest dues adjustment beginning January 1, 2026:
1 Year Membership: $35/year (previously 28/year)
2 Year Membership: $65/year (previously 52/year)
3 Year Membership: $95/year (previously 74/year).
This change will help us:
- Maintain and replace essential safety gear
- Cover rising insurance and permit fees
- Support training programs for all skill levels
- Continue hosting club meetings which include food/refreshments.
We understand that any increase is significant, but we need to ensure the long term financial health of the club. The club has not raised its dues since 2012 and we want to be transparent about why it’s necessary. Every dollar of your dues goes directly back into the club—keeping our community strong, safe, and ready for the next adventure.
Thank you for your understanding, your support, and your passion for whitewater. We’re looking forward to another exciting year on the water with all of you!
See you on the river,
OWA Board
