Greetings Fellow Club Members,
Spring Boating in the Northwest has been in full swing during the last month and these exceptional flows should continue in our local rivers through June. Keep safety as a priority while you’re out recreating on the rivers. Be vigilant and watch for possible hazardous conditions while on the water. Also, continue to monitor social river media sites to keep updated on present or potential wood hazards in our rivers.
Shuttle Services: While you’re planning your summer getaway float on one of the many great over-night river trips here in the Western States, please consider using one of the following river shuttle companies that supports our club to do your vehicle shuttle this summer. Here is the list of shuttle companies that either advertise and/or sponsor our safety training program in alphabetical order:
River Shuttles in Idaho:
All Rivers Shuttles who is located in White Bird, ID is an established business with a solid reputation. Shuttle’s for the Salmon, Lower Salmon, Selway, Snake and Lochsa Rivers. (208)-839-2308,
Blackadar Boating and Shuttle Service is located in Salmon, ID and provides shuttles for the Middle Fork Salmon and Main Salmon Rivers. (208)-756-3958,
Central Idaho River Shuttles is located in Grangeville, ID and provides shuttles for the Main Salmon, Middle Fork Salmon, Lower Salmon, Selway and Snake Rivers. (208)-507-1830,
Hells Canyon Shuttle Service is located outside Oxbow, OR on highway 86. They are a family owned business and have offered dependable shuttles for over 26 years. Hells Canyon Dam to either Pittsburg Landing or Heller’s Bar. (1-800-785-3358).
Deschutes River Shuttles in Oregon:

Grand Canyon Shuttles:
Canyon REO has been outfitting the Grand Canyon since 1991. They offer custom packages that offer equipment rental, food packs, logistics and shuttles. (1-800-637-4604).

Reminder: The Upper Clackamas Whitewater Festival (UCWWF) will be taken place Friday, May 17th through Sunday, May 19th at the Carter Bridge staging area. The main events will be taking place on Saturday and Sunday. This whitewater event has been a gathering spot for both local boaters and some of the finest out of state boaters around. Individuals have been meeting, planning and telling river stories for the past four decades. Come on up for either one day or the entire weekend. Compete in the events, sign up and volunteer some of your time, meet and greet with vendors and see what’s new out there in the recreational boating world or just socialize with like minded individuals.
